When
preparing information or training materials for a large and diverse audience
it is worth remembering that people like to receive information in different
ways. It is wrong to assume that everyone
likes absorb the information the way you do.
Some people like the written word, some like pictures, some like pictures and
sound. Offering information in a form that gives the
user variety, flexibility and interactivity is much more likely to get
your point across.
As the speed of computer processors has increased, the ability to
play high quality video images in digital format has improved.
By utilising high quality digital encoding technology your existing
videos can be put onto CD Rom.
Combine these with still pictures, text and audio files and you will have a winning combination.
High impact audio visual presentations can add some real dynamism to your next marketing or sales presentation. Not only can the audience be stimulated, motivated and trained by the correct use of music, video and voice over but key speakers who may be unable to attend a conference or talk to the user on a one to one basis can be brought into the room.
The technology for playing DVD's is getting more cost effective every day and so too is the technology for creating DVD's. But what exactly is a DVD? - Digital Versatile Disk. Basically, to overcome the problem of data storage on normal CD Rom's the DVD comprises of two layers; once the laser has read the top layer it can look through it and read the bottom one. This means that large amounts of top quality digital video can be stored on a disk without the restrictions normally encountered with CD Rom.
Existing video productions can be encoded to .mpeg 2 standard and put onto DVD to enable distribution to an audience who are able to play DVD's.
Multi-language versions of your video can be put onto DVD so that it can be used with a multi-language or international audience. Simply press the required language and view it - it's as simple as that. And if you want to change language part way though - no problem.
It costs a little more to put a production on to DVD but the results are
worth it.
